Ship perfume and cosmetics from Spain
Perfume is a flammable liquid, and international post will not carry it. We handle it from Spain with a dedicated dangerous goods flow — and we check whether your case works before you buy.

Why perfume shipments fail
The shop says yes and the carrier says no
Plenty of Spanish perfumeries ship happily within Spain, but sending a flammable liquid abroad is a different matter. The “no” usually arrives after you have paid.
Postal mail is not an option
As a conservative rule, international post does not accept dangerous goods. Perfume is the textbook case that stays out, which is why so many parcels end up held or returned.
No data sheet, no shipment
It is the document that makes classification possible. Nobody asks you for it when you buy, so almost nobody has it — and it is exactly what blocks the shipment once it is too late.

Who this page is for
If you have already had a parcel held, returned or refused at the counter, you know the pattern: nobody warned you that the bottle was the problem.
This is the page we would have wanted you to read first. It explains what the rule actually is, what the extra step costs and how long it adds, and where the honest limits are — including the ones that are inconvenient for us to admit.
If your case does not work, we would rather tell you now than take your money and find out later.
- Buyers of Spanish and European perfumery whose shop will not ship abroad.
- Anyone whose parcel was stopped because of a liquid.
- Shops and small businesses moving fragrance stock out of Spain.
Why your perfume counts as “dangerous goods”
It is not a bureaucratic label: a perfume is alcohol in a bottle, and alcohol burns. That is why international rules classify it as Class 3, flammable liquid, alongside colognes, nail polish and solvents.
Two things decide whether your shipment is regulated: the flash point of the liquid and how much of it you send. One 50 ml bottle and a box of twenty are not the same shipment to an air carrier.
The practical consequence arrives sooner than people expect. International postal mail does not accept dangerous goods except in very limited cases, so perfume is usually ruled out from the start. Aerosols and pressurised sprays travel under a different heading, Class 2, and are accepted even more narrowly.
- Class 3 — perfumes, colognes, alcohol, nail polish and solvents: flammable liquids.
- Class 2 — aerosols, sprays and pressurised deodorants: more restricted, especially by air.
- Cosmetics with no alcohol and no pressure (creams, serums, cream make-up) are normally NOT dangerous goods and travel as ordinary cosmetics.
- “Water-based” does not guarantee it falls outside the rules. The product's safety data sheet is what decides.
Last updated: 2026-09-07. Informational guidance to help you understand your shipment, not regulatory advice and not an official classification. Final classification depends on the product's safety data sheet, the rules in force, and state and operator variations. Always verify the rule in force at the time you ship. The extra process, stated plainly
Before the cargo can travel it needs a specific check: inspection, repacking in approved packaging, and relabelling. That is dangerous goods handling, and it is a step that simply does not exist in a normal shipment.
It costs **from €120**. That is a floor, not a closed price: the final amount depends on the quantity of cargo, the number of packages and the weight, and the team confirms it once they see your actual shipment.
It adds **at least 5 working days of processing** before the parcel can leave. Do not read that as the total time: those days are added to the route's normal transit, not the time until it arrives. We do not promise delivery dates, here or on any other shipment.
And one part depends on you: the paperwork. Without a technical data sheet there is no classification, and without classification there is no shipment.
- Full technical data sheet for the product: characteristics, composition and hazards.
- Itemised purchase invoice.
- UN code where the product has one assigned.
- Missing paperwork does not slow a shipment “a little”: it is not accepted, or it waits until the document arrives.
Can it go by air?
Yes, we fly perfume: we handle the dangerous-goods process in Spain and a specialist repacks it for the flight. What we cannot promise is that any shipment will fly, because air is the most restrictive mode there is, and for one specific product to one specific destination there are only four possible answers: forbidden, allowed on passenger aircraft, cargo aircraft only, or subject to prior approval.
Which of the four applies to you depends on the product, the quantity, the destination and the operator. That is why we will not tell you “your perfume flies” before seeing your case: the quote form asks for exactly the details we need to check.
What we can tell you is that we know how to run that check before you buy, which is when it is actually worth something.
- Air: we do it, with the dangerous-goods process and specialist repacking. It is the most restrictive mode: confirmed case by case.
- Road (ADR): allows limited quantities with approved packaging, marking, documentation and segregation.
- International postal mail: as a conservative rule, dangerous goods are prohibited. Perfume is the textbook case that does not get in.

Which countries you can buy from
You do not have to buy in Spain. You can have your order delivered to our warehouses in **Spain, France, Italy or Germany** — the four we currently run this service from.
Dangerous goods handling and the international departure both happen in Spain. If your purchase lands at one of the other warehouses it travels there by road first, which is the mode where this cargo runs under more workable rules than in the air.
It works the same way, but budget for it when you plan. An order already sitting in Spain is processed sooner than one that has to cross Europe first; if you get to choose where to buy, Spain is the shortest path.
- Buy in Spain, France, Italy or Germany: the four warehouses that serve this today.
- The European leg into Spain travels by road, under ADR.
- Handling and the international departure both happen from Spain.
- Buying outside Spain adds that leg's days on top of the handling days.
We declare the real value and prepare the paperwork.
Accurate invoices and customs data, so your parcel is presented as cleanly as it can be.

From €120. That is a floor, not a closed price: the final amount varies with the quantity of cargo, the number of packages and the weight. The team confirms it once they see your actual shipment. It is separate from the transport cost, which you can estimate in the calculator.
Handling adds at least 5 working days of processing before the parcel can leave: that is the time for inspection, repacking and relabelling. Those days are added to the route's normal transit. We do not promise delivery dates, because we control neither the carrier nor customs.
Usually not. Cosmetics with no alcohol and no pressure — creams, serums, cream make-up — normally travel as ordinary cosmetics. The problem starts with alcohol (perfumes, colognes, toners) and with pressurised containers (sprays, aerosols, deodorants). When in doubt, the product's safety data sheet decides, not the packaging.

For one specific product to one specific destination there are only four answers: forbidden, allowed on passenger aircraft, cargo aircraft only, or subject to prior approval. It depends on the product, quantity, destination and operator. We check it before you buy, which is when it helps.

Import duties and taxes are paid at the destination customs and are the recipient's responsibility. We help you with the declaration and the paperwork, and we stay with you if customs or the carrier asks for details or evidence. Customs validates the final classification and charges.
