Buy from MediaMarkt Spain and ship to Colombia
Spain's biggest electronics chain, delivering to Spain and nowhere else. Get a free Spanish address, order as a local customer would, combine several orders into one shipment, and we forward it to Colombia.

Why Colombians cannot order from MediaMarkt Spain directly
Peninsula and Balearics only
MediaMarkt Spain's own purchase conditions limit delivery to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands. There is no international checkout to argue with — the option does not exist.
Spanish pricing and Spanish promotions
Euro prices, Spanish seasonal campaigns and clearance on outgoing models are set for the Spanish market, and none of it reaches a local retailer's shelf.
The voltage trap nobody warns you about
Plenty of what MediaMarkt sells will never work properly on a 110–127 V supply. Knowing which half of the catalogue travels is worth more than any discount.

Buying electronics from MediaMarkt Spain — and the part nobody tells you
MediaMarkt is the largest consumer-electronics retailer in Spain, and its own terms are blunt about reach: deliveries go to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands. Not to Latin America, not to the Canaries. A Spanish receiving address is the only way in, and getting one takes a minute.
But the address is the easy half. The half that decides whether you are happy in six months is electrical, and most forwarding sites skip it entirely because it is inconvenient. Spain runs on 230 V at 50 Hz with type F sockets.
Anything that is really a power supply — laptops, phones, tablets, cameras, most game consoles, monitors, network gear — is almost always rated 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz, and travels fine; you need a plug adapter, nothing more.
Anything with a heating element or a motor is the opposite: hair dryers, kettles, irons, blenders, vacuum cleaners and small kitchen appliances are usually built for one voltage and one frequency, and putting them on the wrong supply ranges from disappointing to dangerous. Read the rating plate before you add to basket. If it does not say 100–240 V, assume it is Spain-only.
Two more things worth knowing. The two-year EU legal guarantee is real and it is excellent, but it is exercised against the Spanish seller — a claim means shipping the unit back to Spain, so factor that in on expensive purchases. And Spanish keyboards carry the ñ and a different layout; if that matters to you, buy the international layout deliberately rather than by accident.
For Colombia the electrical answer is strict: 110 V at 60 Hz against Spain's 230 V at 50 Hz. Anything with a heating element or a motor built for Spanish mains will not work on yours, transformer or not. What does travel well is everything with a 100–240 V universal supply — laptops, phones, cameras, consoles, monitors — and that is where the euro price is worth chasing.
| Category | Safe to forward? |
|---|---|
| Laptops, phones, tablets, cameras | Yes — power supplies are normally 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz |
| Consoles, monitors, routers, audio | Usually — check the rating plate says 100–240 V |
| Hair dryers, kettles, irons, heaters | No — heating elements are built for one voltage |
| Blenders, vacuums, small kitchen motors | No — motors depend on voltage and on 50 Hz |
| Large appliances | No — hard-wired for 230 V and heavy to fly |
| Keyboards and laptops | Yes, but the Spanish layout has ñ — choose deliberately |

What the DIAN actually charges on a parcel to Colombia (2026)
Two numbers decide what a parcel pays in Colombia, and most guides mix them up. The DIAN's own page for tráfico postal y envíos urgentes puts the tributos aduaneros at a 10% customs duty on the FOB value — freight and insurance included — plus 19% IVA. Everything after that is exemptions on top.
On duty, the DIAN states that a shipment whose FOB value is US$200 or less does not pay the customs duty. On IVA there are two separate reliefs, and the first is the one that matters for a European purchase: the DIAN states that these shipments do not pay IVA when they come from countries with a free-trade agreement with Colombia and have no commercial purpose.
Colombia's agreement with the European Union has been in force since 2013 and its agreement with the United States since 2012; it has no such agreement with China or Turkey. Note that what counts is where the goods originate, not where you happened to buy them.
The second relief is temporary: Decreto Legislativo 1474 of 19 December 2025 excludes IVA on shipments worth no more than US$50, and the DIAN has confirmed that this one runs only from 1 January to 31 December 2026. That is what replaced the US$200 IVA figure people still repeat.
What none of this settles is your particular parcel. Whether a shipment counts as non-commercial, and whether its origin is evidenced to the satisfaction of the officer clearing it, is decided at clearance and not before. Read the rules above as the framework, check them against the DIAN page linked below before a large purchase, and be sceptical of anyone who guarantees you an exact final figure.
| Item | What the DIAN states (2026) |
|---|---|
| Customs duty, general rule | 10% of the FOB value, freight and insurance included |
| IVA, general rule | 19% |
| FOB of US$200 or less | Does not pay customs duty |
| Goods originating in an FTA country, no commercial purpose | Do not pay IVA — the EU and the USA have agreements; China and Turkey do not |
| Up to US$50 during 2026 | IVA excluded — Decreto Legislativo 1474/2025, art. 3 |
| The old US$200 IVA figure | Replaced by the US$50 exclusion, and only for 2026 |
Last updated: September 2026. Informational only — not customs or tax advice. The US$50 IVA exclusion is written for the 2026 calendar year, and the relief for shipments from FTA countries depends on the shipment having no commercial purpose and on origin being evidenced at clearance. Buying from MediaMarkt Spain and shipping to Colombia
No. MediaMarkt Spain's own purchase conditions limit delivery to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, so it does not deliver to Colombia. You can still buy there with a receiving address in the store's own country: we take delivery, hold your parcels while you finish shopping, and forward them to you.
No. Their purchase conditions state deliveries go only to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands. A Spanish receiving address puts you inside that delivery area, and we forward the parcel from there.
It depends entirely on the item. Devices with an external or universal power supply — laptops, phones, cameras, most consoles — are typically rated 100–240 V and travel fine with a plug adapter. Anything with a heating element or a motor is usually built for a single voltage and frequency. Check the rating plate before buying.
The EU legal guarantee applies to the Spanish purchase and is exercised against the Spanish seller, which in practice means returning the unit to Spain. It is genuinely strong protection, but it is not a local service network — worth weighing on expensive items.
Photos are taken at check-in for every package, and we verify that the contents match your purchase and show no visible damage. A fuller content inspection — quantity, size, any specific detail you ask us to verify — is an optional service with its own rate. For electronics it is worth considering, because a problem found in Spain is a Spanish return and a problem found later is not.
US$200 is still the duty threshold: the DIAN states that a shipment with an FOB value of US$200 or less does not pay the 10% customs duty. What moved is the IVA side — Decreto Legislativo 1474 of December 2025 set the IVA exclusion at US$50, and the DIAN has confirmed it applies only during the 2026 calendar year.
It depends on the values. Consolidating is almost always cheaper on freight, but it raises the FOB value of a single shipment, which is exactly what the US$200 duty threshold looks at. Ask us before you buy and we will price both options so you can compare them.
The DIAN's IVA relief for shipments from FTA countries is written for shipments with no commercial purpose. If you are importing to resell, that is a formal import with its own requirements — talk to us and to a customs agent before ordering, not after the goods are in the air.
