Is Sephora cheaper in France? What the US store doesn't sell

Short answer: not automatically — the real difference is what is on the shelf, not the price tag. Sephora France and Sephora US are separate stores with separate catalogues and pricing; sephora.fr's terms of sale say it delivers to EU countries (excluding Italy, Cyprus, Denmark, Malta and Sweden) and Monaco, and limits orders to household quantities (Sephora France terms of sale, version in force from August 2023, read 22 October 2026). A French price includes 20% VAT; a US price excludes sales tax. On the same product and size the two can land close, so we will not tell you France is cheaper. What we can tell you is which French brands sephora.fr lists, how to order from it in the US, and the one category where forwarding gets complicated: perfume.

What sephora.fr sells (verified 22 October 2026)

Sephora France's brand index lists, among others, Chanel, Guerlain, Dior, Lancôme, Clarins, Nuxe, Payot, Filorga, Erborian, Sanoflore, Talika, Garancia, Lancaster, Mugler, Cacharel, Rabanne, Jean Paul Gaultier and Zadig & Voltaire, plus Sephora Collection's own French range (sephora.fr brand index, verified 22 October 2026). Several of these are French skincare and fragrance houses with limited or no presence in US beauty retail. We could not check Sephora US's brand list from Europe on the same day, so do the obvious thing: search the brand on sephora.com before you assume it is missing. If it is not there — or the French range is deeper, or the French limited edition exists only in France — that is where buying from sephora.fr makes sense.

How to buy from sephora.fr in the United States

sephora.fr needs a delivery address in France or in one of the EU countries it serves. Resendify gives you a French receiving address. Perfume is the catch: dangerous goods by air

Alcohol-based perfume, aerosols and some nail products are classed as dangerous goods for air transport. Creams, serums, make-up and alcohol-free skincare ship as ordinary parcels. Perfume does not: it goes through a DG process — inspection, compliant repacking and relabelling — which adds at least 5 extra working days to the normal shipping time and starts from €120 (a minimum, confirmed per shipment by our team, because it depends on the cargo and the number of parcels). Tell us what the item is before you buy it and we will tell you plainly whether it can fly. A single bottle of eau de parfum rarely justifies DG handling; a grouped order of skincare does not need it at all.
