China's biggest consumer marketplace, built for buyers inside China. Get a free Chinese address, order as a local customer would, combine several orders into one shipment, and we forward it to Colombia.
The overwhelming majority of Taobao and Tmall sellers ship within China and nothing else. There is no international option to select — the listing simply does not have one.
Chinese interface, Chinese address format, and payment built around Alipay and WeChat Pay. None of that is a barrier you can talk your way past at checkout.
You rarely buy from one seller. Ten sellers means ten parcels, and paying international freight ten times is what makes people give up on Taobao.
A real local address at checkout is all that stands between you and that cart.
Resendify gives you a real local address at our warehouses. Shop where the deals are, we collect, repack and forward — you stay in control the whole way.
Pick a warehouse in Spain, Germany, the UK or the US. We assign you a real street address — yours within minutes.
Use your Resendify address at checkout — Amazon DE, Zara, Decathlon, eBay, anywhere. Even sellers that don't ship abroad.
Photos on arrival, optional repacking, and consolidation of multiple orders into one shipment to save up to 70%.
Pick your courier and track door-to-door. Email alerts on every tracking update.

Taobao is the largest consumer marketplace in China and Tmall is its brand-store sibling, where official flagship shops sell. Between them they carry hundreds of millions of listings — fashion, hobby, electronics, home, components, cosplay, model kits, anything — at prices that no local importer can match, because you are buying at the point the local importer buys.
The catch is that both are built for buyers who are already in China. The overwhelming majority of sellers quote domestic shipping only, the interface is in Chinese, and the payment rails assume Alipay or WeChat Pay. That is not a policy you can argue with at checkout; it is how the platform is put together. A receiving address in China is what turns a domestic-only listing into something you can have.
The workflow, then: open a free account, take your Chinese warehouse address, browse Taobao with a browser translation extension, and enter that address as the delivery address. Each seller ships to the warehouse domestically — the cheap, fast leg. When your orders land we hold them together and forward the lot as one international shipment, which matters enormously here because Taobao hauls are almost always many small parcels from many different sellers.
Two honest cautions. Quality varies seller by seller far more than on a Western retail site, so read the ratings and the buyer photos rather than the product photos. And listings are written for the Chinese market: sizing runs small by European or American standards, and manuals, plugs and voltages are Chinese-market by default.
For Colombia, note in the table below that the DIAN's IVA relief applies to goods originating in countries with a free-trade agreement — and Colombia has no such agreement with China. The US$200 FOB duty threshold and the temporary US$50 IVA exclusion still apply to you; the FTA route does not.
Two numbers decide what a parcel pays in Colombia, and most guides mix them up. The DIAN's own page for tráfico postal y envíos urgentes puts the tributos aduaneros at a 10% customs duty on the FOB value — freight and insurance included — plus 19% IVA. Everything after that is exemptions on top.
On duty, the DIAN states that a shipment whose FOB value is US$200 or less does not pay the customs duty. On IVA there are two separate reliefs, and the first is the one that matters for a European purchase: the DIAN states that these shipments do not pay IVA when they come from countries with a free-trade agreement with Colombia and have no commercial purpose.
Colombia's agreement with the European Union has been in force since 2013 and its agreement with the United States since 2012; it has no such agreement with China or Turkey. Note that what counts is where the goods originate, not where you happened to buy them.
The second relief is temporary: Decreto Legislativo 1474 of 19 December 2025 excludes IVA on shipments worth no more than US$50, and the DIAN has confirmed that this one runs only from 1 January to 31 December 2026. That is what replaced the US$200 IVA figure people still repeat.
What none of this settles is your particular parcel. Whether a shipment counts as non-commercial, and whether its origin is evidenced to the satisfaction of the officer clearing it, is decided at clearance and not before. Read the rules above as the framework, check them against the DIAN page linked below before a large purchase, and be sceptical of anyone who guarantees you an exact final figure.
| Item | What the DIAN states (2026) |
|---|---|
| Customs duty, general rule | 10% of the FOB value, freight and insurance included |
| IVA, general rule | 19% |
| FOB of US$200 or less | Does not pay customs duty |
| Goods originating in an FTA country, no commercial purpose | Do not pay IVA — the EU and the USA have agreements; China and Turkey do not |
| Up to US$50 during 2026 | IVA excluded — Decreto Legislativo 1474/2025, art. 3 |
| The old US$200 IVA figure | Replaced by the US$50 exclusion, and only for 2026 |
Last updated: September 2026. Informational only — not customs or tax advice. The US$50 IVA exclusion is written for the 2026 calendar year, and the relief for shipments from FTA countries depends on the shipment having no commercial purpose and on origin being evidenced at clearance. From fashion to car parts, from luxury to electronics — global shoppers use Resendify to buy from Europe without limits.
“Finally a service that actually works for buying from Spanish stores. I ordered from Zara España, MANGO and El Corte Inglés in the same week — everything arrived consolidated in one box. Shipping to LA was way cheaper than I expected.”
“I bought a MediaMarkt laptop that wasn't available in Canada at that price. The process was seamless — got my European address, placed the order, and Resendify handled everything from there. Will definitely use again.”
“Been sourcing European car parts for years. Resendify is the best forwarding service I've used for Europe-to-India shipments. The consolidation feature saved me hundreds on a single order.”
“Bought from a French boutique that doesn't ship to Australia. Got my Resendify address in minutes, placed the order, and it was on my doorstep in Sydney two weeks later. Exactly as advertised.”
“I source from 4–5 European suppliers every month. Resendify consolidates everything before it hits the US, which cuts my per-unit shipping cost significantly. The quote tool is accurate and the team is responsive.”
“Found a Zalando deal that was EU-only. Used Resendify, got the item shipped to Dubai without any issues. The customs documentation was all handled — that's the part I usually dread.”
No. The overwhelming majority of Taobao and Tmall sellers quote domestic Chinese shipping only, so the listings do not ship to Colombia. You can still buy there with a receiving address in the store's own country: we take delivery, hold your parcels while you finish shopping, and forward them to you.
No, but you need a translation extension in your browser. The listings, the filters and the seller messages are all in Chinese, and machine translation handles them well enough to shop. Product measurements are usually given in centimetres, which travels across languages better than sizes do.
That is the part to sort out before you fill a cart, because payment is the real friction on Taobao rather than the address. Check which methods your account can use before you commit to a large order.
Because a Taobao order is almost never one parcel. Buying from eight sellers means eight domestic deliveries to the warehouse, and forwarding them as one shipment is the difference between viable and absurd.
Assume they run small against EU and US charts. Ignore the letter size and use the centimetre measurements in the listing against a garment you already own — that is the single most useful habit for buying Chinese fashion.
US$200 is still the duty threshold: the DIAN states that a shipment with an FOB value of US$200 or less does not pay the 10% customs duty. What moved is the IVA side — Decreto Legislativo 1474 of December 2025 set the IVA exclusion at US$50, and the DIAN has confirmed it applies only during the 2026 calendar year.
It depends on the values. Consolidating is almost always cheaper on freight, but it raises the FOB value of a single shipment, which is exactly what the US$200 duty threshold looks at. Ask us before you buy and we will price both options so you can compare them.
The DIAN's IVA relief for shipments from FTA countries is written for shipments with no commercial purpose. If you are importing to resell, that is a formal import with its own requirements — talk to us and to a customs agent before ordering, not after the goods are in the air.
