📦 Box-to-pallet consolidation

Box-to-pallet consolidation:
many boxes, one shipment

Resendify operators handing a wrapped pallet over to two business customers beside a branded truck

Your order arrives at our warehouse as a stream of boxes and leaves as one professionally built pallet — every box checked in and photographed, the load edge-protected, strapped and set on ISPM-15 wood, with the export documentation done once. The gym case we publish was exactly this service: a Monterrey property developer's Zara Home orders arrived as 24 separate boxes, which we received, verified, photographed and consolidated onto a pallet — 317 kg by air, door to door. From a handful of boxes to multi-pallet programmes, on the quote-based Business plan.

The problem

Many boxes crossing a border loose is the most expensive way to move them.

📦

Every loose box pays the international leg again

Shipped separately, each box pays international freight on its own and files its own customs entry — its own paperwork, its own fees, its own chance of getting stuck. The same boxes consolidated onto one pallet are weighed, documented, priced and cleared once.

🏭

Supplier boxes are retail packaging, not export packaging

The box a store uses for a domestic courier hop was never designed for an international leg with several handoffs. Sent as-is, it arrives as-is — or worse. Consolidation is where repacking, edge protection and strapping happen before the trip, not after the damage.

📷

Damage found at destination is your cost

Open a crushed box after clearance and the loss is yours, plus the delay. The same problem caught at reception — every box checked against your order and photographed — is a supplier claim raised at origin, before anything is dispatched.

What box-to-pallet consolidation is and how it works

Box-to-pallet consolidation is a warehouse service that receives many boxes — from one supplier or several — verifies and photographs each one, and builds them onto a single pallet so they travel as one handling unit with one set of export documents. Instead of paying international freight and filing a customs entry per box, the whole order is weighed, documented, priced and cleared once.

The pallet itself is built for the trip: edge protection, strapping, ISPM-15 heat-treated wood, and a commercial invoice and packing list with real weights and dimensions.

This page does not describe a hypothetical: the gym case we publish was exactly this operation. A Monterrey property developer furnished a gym from Zara Home Spain, and the orders arrived at our Spanish warehouse as 24 separate boxes — each received, verified and photographed — and left as one consolidated shipment: 317 kg by air, door to door, running approximately from Day 0 to around Day 15.

The all-in cost worked out at ≈€13/kg — the bottom of the ~€13–18/kg reference band, helped by volume and a one-off carrier rate; your route is quoted individually. The second published anchor is the HPL case: a multi-panel load of 150 panels of 8 mm, 296 kg, consolidated onto one 120×80×50 cm pallet, with the itemised logistics bill — €2,340.29 of declared merchandise, €3,111.75 all-in — published end to end.

  • One pallet is one handling unit: forkliftable, strapped, edge-protected, on ISPM-15 heat-treated wood
  • One documentation set — commercial invoice, packing list, real weights and dimensions — and one clearance instead of one per box
  • Every box checked in against your order and photographed before anything is dispatched
  • Published gym case: 24 boxes in, one pallet out, 317 kg by air door to door
  • Published HPL case: 150 panels of 8 mm, 296 kg on one 120×80×50 cm pallet, itemised bill published
  • From a handful of boxes to multi-pallet programmes, quoted case by case on the Business plan

Published-case figures reviewed August 2026 — not commercial or customs advice. Case figures describe real one-off operations, not a tariff; every consolidation is quoted individually, and clearance at destination is done by you or your customs broker.

The operational reality between the boxes and the pallet

The value of the service is in the discipline, so it is worth describing plainly. Reception first: each delivery is checked against your order and photographed, and the photos are yours to act on — a wrong reference, a shortage or visible damage raised at origin is a supplier claim, while the same discovery at destination is your cost and your delay.

Storage second: boxes wait at the warehouse while the rest of the order builds, so the slowest supplier stops dictating when everything else ships.

Packing third: retail boxes that were built for a domestic courier hop get repacked where needed, and the pallet is built as one unit — edge protection, strapping, ISPM-15 heat-treated wood — with goods that cannot fly (aerosols, solvent-based adhesives and certain coatings are dangerous goods in air freight) flagged before you buy, not after.

The result is a load a forklift moves in one piece and a customs agent reads in one document set.

On transit we hold ourselves to the published record. For air-consolidated shipments the honest description is an orientative band on the order of 1–3 weeks door to door, anchored in the two operations we publish — the HPL pallet documented 17 days door to door, and the gym case ran approximately from Day 0 to around Day 15 — and orientative is the operative word, not a promise: it depends on route, pickup, consolidation and customs clearance.

  • Reception with photos: a problem caught at origin is a supplier claim — at destination it is your cost
  • Storage while the order builds: the slowest supplier no longer dictates when the rest ships
  • Repacking where retail packaging falls short; edge protection, strapping, ISPM-15 heat-treated wood
  • Aerosols, solvent adhesives and some coatings cannot fly — tell us what is in the order before you buy
  • Transit, said honestly: an orientative 1–3 week band anchored on the documented 17-day HPL case and the ~Day 15 gym case — never a promise; route, pickup, consolidation and customs clearance move it

Operational guidance reviewed August 2026 — not customs, certification or carrier advice. Dangerous-goods handling depends on the specific product and service; transit depends on route, pickup, consolidation and customs clearance and is never guaranteed.

What Resendify does for a business, and what it does not

Being precise about the boundary is more useful than a list of promises. We operate receiving warehouses across ten countries — Spain, Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, the Czech Republic, the United States, China and Hong Kong — so your suppliers deliver domestically, which is what most of them are set up to do.

We check goods in, store them while an order builds across several suppliers, repack when the original packaging is not built for an international leg, consolidate into one shipment, and produce the export documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, real weights and dimensions, and the supplier origin documents that decide whether you pay a preferential duty rate or a full one.

What we are not is your customs broker in the destination country, a distributor, or a party to your trade terms. We do not clear goods on your behalf at destination, we do not hold stock we sell you, and we do not negotiate or guarantee terms with brands.

We also do not quote transit times we cannot control, and we do not tell you your goods will clear without charges. The Business plan exists precisely because a recurring importer needs a quote-based setup rather than a consumer membership: tailored workflows for repeat imports, room for packaging and repacking, volume-oriented planning and commercial support on request.

  • Receiving warehouses in 10 countries so suppliers deliver domestically
  • Check-in, storage while an order builds, and repacking for the international leg
  • Consolidation into one shipment with commercial invoice, packing list, weights and dimensions
  • We chase supplier origin declarations — the document that decides preferential duty
  • We are not your destination customs broker, not a distributor, and not a party to your trade terms
  • Business plan is quote-based: tailored workflows for repeat imports, volume-oriented planning

We declare the real value and prepare the paperwork.

Found a Zalando deal that was EU-only. Used Resendify, got the item shipped to Dubai without any issues. The customs documentation was all handled — that's the part I usually dread.

FAQ

Box-to-pallet consolidation: what buyers ask

We will not invent a universal number, because it depends on box sizes, weights and what can be safely stacked. The honest answer is a range of operations: from a handful of boxes to multi-pallet programmes, quoted case by case. For calibration, the published gym case consolidated 24 boxes onto a pallet — 317 kg — and the published HPL case was a multi-panel load on a single 120×80×50 cm pallet. A first order fits inside the 14-day trial; recurring volume belongs on the Business plan, which is quote-based.

Yes, and it is the part of the service that saves the most money. Every delivery is checked in against your order and photographed at reception, and nothing is dispatched until you have decided with that evidence in front of you. A shortage, a wrong reference or a crushed box caught at origin is a supplier claim; the same problem discovered at destination is your cost and your delay.

Every consolidation is quoted individually — box count, real weight and volume, route — so we point at the published record instead of a rate card. The gym case, 24 boxes and 317 kg, landed at ≈€13/kg all-in: the bottom of the ~€13–18/kg reference band, helped by volume and a one-off carrier rate — your route is quoted individually. The HPL case worked out at roughly ≈€10.5/kg all-in — a one-off; the working reference for loads over 200 kg is below €15/kg, varying with route, volume and season. Send your details through the pallet form in the calculator and a person replies with a quote.

Volume and rhythm change what you need. A consumer account is built around occasional parcels; a business buying every month needs storage that fits a build-up across suppliers, packing decisions made per shipment, documentation that a customs agent can file without chasing you, and a quote rather than a fixed membership. That is what the Business plan is for, and it is priced per case because a pallet of tools every month and a monthly box of collectibles are not the same operation.

No. Clearance at destination is done by you or your customs broker, and that is deliberate: local clearance requires local licensing and local liability. What we do is the European side and the paperwork that makes clearance straightforward — a consolidated shipment, a commercial invoice that matches the goods, a packing list, real weights and dimensions and the supplier's origin documents.

Talk to us about the specific supplier before you plan around it. Some situations are simply a delivery address problem, which your European address solves outright. Others involve trade accounts or territorial agreements that are between you and the brand, and no forwarder can resolve those — we would rather tell you which one you are facing than take the order and find out later.

Still deciding? Try it for 14 days.

New accounts get a 14-day trial period — set it up now and see how the flow works.
