An Amazon returns address in Spain,
and one shipment back home
Selling on Amazon.es from outside Spain? For items up to €25, Amazon asks merchant-fulfilled sellers for a return address in Spain — or refunds the customer and lets them keep the item. We give you that address at our Spanish warehouse. Every return is checked in and photographed, waits for you, and goes back to your warehouse consolidated, in boxes or on a pallet.

Without a Spanish address, every return costs you twice.
Returnless refunds give your stock away
With no return address in Spain, Amazon refunds low-value items without asking for them back. The customer keeps the product, you lose the sale and the unit — and it happens on exactly the cheap, high-volume items where margins are thinnest.
International labels are always yours to pay
Amazon's own guide is explicit: on an international return, the return shipping is the seller's cost, even when the customer is at fault. One label per parcel, back to China, the US or the UK, for goods often worth less than the label.
You find out what came back weeks later
Returns scattered across carriers arrive at your warehouse one by one, long after the refund was decided. Without a photo at arrival you cannot tell a used item from a sealed one when it still matters: while the case is open.

The Amazon.es rule, in plain terms
Since 5 October 2021, Amazon applies one rule to merchant-fulfilled sellers who ship to Amazon.es from outside Spain. For items up to €25 including VAT, you either give Amazon a default return address in Spain or accept returnless refunds. The same rule applies on Amazon.it, .de, .fr and .co.uk (£20 in the UK), each with its own country.
Above €25 you can also offer a prepaid international return label, and here Amazon's guide is blunt: international return shipping is always the seller's cost, even when the customer is at fault. With a local address, the customer returns domestically, and a customer-fault return generally does not oblige you to refund the original shipping.
Speed matters too. On Amazon.de and Amazon.co.uk, sellers have had 3 days since August 2025 to answer a return request above €25/£20 before Amazon refunds and charges them. We could not confirm the same deadline for Amazon.es; check it in your Seller Central.
| Option (FBM, sold from abroad) | What happens to the item | Who pays the return |
|---|---|---|
| Returnless refund | The customer keeps it; you refund in full | You lose the unit and the sale |
| Default return address in Spain | Domestic return to that address; Amazon issues a prepaid label if you use its service, an unpaid one otherwise | A domestic label, not an international one |
| Prepaid international label | The item travels back to you abroad, parcel by parcel | You, always — even when the customer is at fault |

From one return to one shipment
The address only pays off if what arrives is visible and under control. Each return is checked in and photographed on arrival, and we verify that the contents match what you sold and whether there is visible damage. Those photos are your evidence for the case with the customer, taken while it is still open.
Create expected returns in your panel with the tracking number from the Amazon return request. Parcels that arrive unannounced are still received, but our team books them in manually with a small surcharge.
Then the returns wait while volume builds. When you decide, they are consolidated and repacked — optional services, priced per plan — and leave as boxes or a pallet. Small parcels leaving the EU under €1,000 follow simplified export formalities; a larger consolidated shipment needs a formal export declaration, which the commercial invoice and packing list support.
- Photo and contents check at arrival — evidence while the customer case is still open
- Announce returns with the marketplace tracking number; unannounced parcels carry a small surcharge
- Storage while volume builds: free days by plan, then a daily fee
- Consolidation and repacking (optional, priced per plan), in boxes or on a pallet
- Export documents for the trip home: commercial invoice and packing list

Where your Spanish returns go next
Not every return should fly home. Sellable units can be prepared to go back into an Amazon fulfilment centre, so they sell again in Europe instead of making a round trip. Units that are not worth recovering can be destroyed securely, on request.
What is worth recovering goes home in one shipment: to China, where 2026 rules exempt qualifying cross-border e-commerce returns from import taxes within six months; to the US, under HTSUS 9801.00.10; or to the UK, under Returned Goods Relief. If your European stock sits in another EU country, the move is intra-EU, with no customs at all.

What we do with your returns, and what we do not
Being precise about the boundary is more useful than a list of promises. We give you an address at our warehouse in the country where your customers return, and every parcel that arrives is checked in and photographed. That check covers what you need first: does the content match what you sold, and is there visible damage. An in-depth inspection is available when you want it, as an optional service with its own fee.
The returns then wait for you. Each plan includes free storage days; the official limit is 30 days, after which a daily fee applies, and it can be extended case by case.
When you decide, we consolidate and repack — optional services, priced per plan — and ship them to your warehouse as boxes or a pallet, with the commercial invoice and packing list the business shipment needs. We can also prepare goods to go back into an Amazon fulfilment centre, or destroy them securely.
What we are not: the seller of record, a liquidator, or your customs broker at origin. The refund decision and the conversation with your customer stay in your Seller Central, with our photos as evidence. We do not quote transit times we cannot control, and we do not tell you a return will re-enter your country free of duty.
- A local address in the country where your customers return — Spain, Italy and eight more countries
- Every parcel checked in and photographed; contents and visible damage verified
- In-depth inspection, consolidation, repacking, extended storage and secure destruction: optional, priced per plan
- Free storage days by plan; official limit 30 days, then a daily fee, extendable case by case
- Back to your warehouse as boxes or a pallet, with commercial invoice and packing list
- Not: seller of record, liquidator, customs broker at origin — and no transit-time promises

Amazon returns address in Spain: what sellers ask
Not to sell — but it decides what happens to your returns. Since October 2021, merchant-fulfilled sellers shipping to Amazon.es from outside Spain must, for items up to €25 including VAT, either give Amazon a default return address in Spain or accept returnless refunds. Without the address, Amazon refunds and the customer keeps the item. Above €25 you can also offer a prepaid international label, at your cost.
Yes, it is your address. Zalando's Partner Program states that sellers using ZRS Pure in Spain must provide a return address in Spain. For eBay and your own shop there is no platform rule, but EU consumer law gives buyers 14 days to withdraw, and a domestic return address is simply cheaper for everyone.
Amazon's guide says that with a local return address, Amazon generates a prepaid label if you use its return-label service, and an unpaid label otherwise. Either way the parcel travels inside Spain to our warehouse, not across borders.
When you decide. Returns wait in storage — the free days depend on your plan, the official limit is 30 days, then a daily fee applies and it can be extended case by case. Most sellers batch them into a box or a pallet once there is enough volume to make the trip worth it.
Not for customer returns: with FBA, Amazon takes them back into its own fulfilment centres. You need an address for what Amazon sends out — removal orders of unsellable, aged or excess stock. Amazon's European removal fees are built around European addresses, so a seller whose warehouse is outside Europe needs one here. Merchant-fulfilled (FBM) sellers need both: returns come straight to the seller.
We do not publish a single returns rate card, because the cost depends on how many parcels you receive, how long they wait and where they go back to. The pieces are the plan, the optional services you use (inspection, consolidation, repacking, extended storage, destruction) and the outbound shipment, which you can price in the calculator on this page. Recurring volume goes on the Business plan, which is quote-based: send the form and a person replies.
It is received anyway. Parcels that arrive without being created in your panel are booked in manually by our team, with a small surcharge. The cheap way is to create the expected return in advance — the tracking number from the marketplace's return request is enough.
No. We prepare the export side — consolidated shipment, commercial invoice, packing list, real weights and dimensions — and the import in your country is done by you or your customs broker. Each origin page on this site explains the returned-goods rule of that country, dated and with its official source, but the claim is yours to make.
