FBA removal orders in Spain and Italy,
when your warehouse is not in Europe
Amazon's European removal fees are built around European addresses — there is no rate to send your unsellable or aged FBA stock to China, the US or Latin America. Point your removal orders to our warehouse in Spain or Italy. We receive them, count and photograph them, and you decide: prepared to go back into FBA, consolidated home on a pallet, or destroyed securely.

Stock stuck in an Amazon warehouse keeps charging you.
Aged stock gets expensive, fast
Amazon's surcharge on aged inventory in Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Ireland climbs from €47.99 per cubic metre a month after 241 days to €227.63 after a year — on top of normal storage fees.
Unsellable stock is disposed of on a clock
Since September 2024, Amazon's UK and EU stores dispose of or donate unsellable inventory after 23 days' notice if no automatic removal is set. Without a European address to send it to, destruction becomes the default.
Removals do not leave Europe
Amazon's removal rates cover a local return and cross-border removals within two European zones. There is no removal rate to China, the US or Latin America, so a seller based there needs a European address first.

What Amazon charges to remove, and to destroy
Amazon publishes its removal and disposal fees per unit, by weight. The numbers are small per unit and add up fast on a large removal, but the key point is the comparison. In most weight bands, destroying a unit costs more than sending it back to you.
The cross-border column is the one that matters for a seller without a local address. It covers two European zones only. Zone 1 includes Spain, Italy, Germany, France, the UK, Poland, the Czech Republic and other nearby countries. Nothing in the rate card prices a removal to Asia or the Americas.
| Weight (standard size) | Return to you, same country | Disposal | Cross-border, zone 1 / zone 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0–200 g | €0.50 | €0.74 | €0.60 / €0.74 |
| 201–500 g | €0.73 | €1.19 | €0.97 / €1.70 |
| 501 g–1 kg | €1.70 | €2.73 | €2.06 / €3.09 |
| Over 1 kg | €2.19 + €0.82/kg | €3.74 + €1.41/kg | €2.65 + €1.35/kg (zone 1) |

The clock on unsellable and aged stock
Two things make removals urgent. The first is disposal of unsellable inventory. Amazon announced in its seller forums that, from 16 September 2024, UK and EU stores dispose of or donate it after 23 days' notice unless an automatic removal setting says otherwise. The automatic setting can return stock to your address or to a forwarder — which is where a European address comes in.
The second is the aged-inventory surcharge in Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Ireland. It is charged per cubic metre per month on top of storage. It starts at €47.99 for stock aged 241–270 days and reaches €227.63 for stock older than a year.
Setting our address as the automatic removal destination turns both deadlines into a delivery instead of a loss.
- Unsellable stock: disposal or donation after 23 days' notice without an automatic removal setting
- Aged-inventory surcharge: from €47.99 to €227.63 per m³ per month, on top of storage
- Automatic removal can point to a forwarder's address — ours in Spain or Italy

Three destinations for a removed unit
Once a removal reaches our warehouse, every box is checked in and photographed, and compared with the removal order you shared. Shortages or visible damage are flagged, and you have the evidence for a reimbursement claim with Amazon.
Then each unit has three possible destinations. Sellable stock can be prepared to go back into a fulfilment centre, often in a different European store where it sells better. Stock worth recovering goes home consolidated: boxes or a pallet to your warehouse, with the export documents. The rest can be destroyed securely, on request.
None of this needs to happen at once. Removals can wait in storage while you decide, within the free days of your plan and then at a daily fee.
- Check-in with photos, matched against your removal order ID
- Back into FBA: preparation for a fulfilment centre on the Business plan
- Home consolidated: boxes or a pallet, commercial invoice and packing list
- Secure destruction on request, for units not worth recovering
What we do with your returns, and what we do not
Being precise about the boundary is more useful than a list of promises. We give you an address at our warehouse in the country where your customers return, and every parcel that arrives is checked in and photographed. That check covers what you need first: does the content match what you sold, and is there visible damage. An in-depth inspection is available when you want it, as an optional service with its own fee.
The returns then wait for you. Each plan includes free storage days; the official limit is 30 days, after which a daily fee applies, and it can be extended case by case.
When you decide, we consolidate and repack — optional services, priced per plan — and ship them to your warehouse as boxes or a pallet, with the commercial invoice and packing list the business shipment needs. We can also prepare goods to go back into an Amazon fulfilment centre, or destroy them securely.
What we are not: the seller of record, a liquidator, or your customs broker at origin. The refund decision and the conversation with your customer stay in your Seller Central, with our photos as evidence. We do not quote transit times we cannot control, and we do not tell you a return will re-enter your country free of duty.
- A local address in the country where your customers return — Spain, Italy and eight more countries
- Every parcel checked in and photographed; contents and visible damage verified
- In-depth inspection, consolidation, repacking, extended storage and secure destruction: optional, priced per plan
- Free storage days by plan; official limit 30 days, then a daily fee, extendable case by case
- Back to your warehouse as boxes or a pallet, with commercial invoice and packing list
- Not: seller of record, liquidator, customs broker at origin — and no transit-time promises

FBA removal orders in Spain and Italy: what sellers ask
Amazon's European rate card only prices removals to addresses in Europe: a local removal in the same country and cross-border removals within two European zones. There is no rate to China, the US or Latin America. Sellers based there route removals to a European address, and ship them home from there.
It depends on what the stock is worth to you. Liquidations and Grade and Resell recover part of the value inside Amazon. Disposal costs more per unit than a removal in most weight bands and recovers nothing. Removal is the option when you want the goods back — to sell them elsewhere, rework them, or send them into FBA again.
Not necessarily. Amazon offers cross-border removal orders within its European zones, which include Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Poland and the Czech Republic. Removals from several fulfilment centres can often be directed to one address. Check the options in your removal order template, and we plan the receiving country with you.
Yes. We prepare goods for Amazon's fulfilment centres on the Business plan, so sellable units from a removal can go back into FBA — in the same country or in another European store — instead of travelling home and back.
Not for customer returns: with FBA, Amazon takes them back into its own fulfilment centres. You need an address for what Amazon sends out — removal orders of unsellable, aged or excess stock. Amazon's European removal fees are built around European addresses, so a seller whose warehouse is outside Europe needs one here. Merchant-fulfilled (FBM) sellers need both: returns come straight to the seller.
We do not publish a single returns rate card, because the cost depends on how many parcels you receive, how long they wait and where they go back to. The pieces are the plan, the optional services you use (inspection, consolidation, repacking, extended storage, destruction) and the outbound shipment, which you can price in the calculator on this page. Recurring volume goes on the Business plan, which is quote-based: send the form and a person replies.
It is received anyway. Parcels that arrive without being created in your panel are booked in manually by our team, with a small surcharge. The cheap way is to create the expected return in advance — the tracking number from the marketplace's return request is enough.
No. We prepare the export side — consolidated shipment, commercial invoice, packing list, real weights and dimensions — and the import in your country is done by you or your customs broker. Each origin page on this site explains the returned-goods rule of that country, dated and with its official source, but the claim is yours to make.
