What the Turkish community in Britain actually forwards

Turkish food in the parcel: what clears GB customs — and what never will
Food is where this lane breaks hearts, so let's be precise. Great Britain bans ALL meat and dairy products in parcels from outside the EU — that includes sucuk, pastırma and cheese, no matter how well sealed. What DOES clear: chocolate and confectionery (lokum is fine), biscuits and shelf-stable bakery without fresh cream, pasta and noodles (not meat-filled), spices, dried fruit, processed and packaged nuts and nut butters, honey up to 2 kg, and dried, smoked or cured fish up to 20 kg. Fresh fruit and vegetables generally need a phytosanitary certificate — not worth it for a personal parcel.
