Questions about shipping from Spain to the UK
Post-Brexit, Zara and most Spanish retailers restrict delivery to EU member states only. UK addresses are no longer accepted at checkout. A Spanish forwarding address from Resendify lets you complete the purchase in Spain and then we ship it on to your UK address.
When goods are exported from the EU (Spain) to a non-EU country (UK), the Spanish VAT should not apply. Resendify processes your shipment as an export, so Spanish VAT is typically not charged on the forwarding leg. You may however be liable for UK import VAT (20%) on goods above the £135 HMRC threshold.
The UK's de minimis threshold is £135. Goods valued below £135 enter the UK VAT-free (VAT is collected at the point of sale if the seller is registered). Above £135, UK customs duty and 20% import VAT apply. Fashion from Spain typically attracts 12% UK customs duty above the threshold.
