Is adidas cheaper in Germany? EU vs US prices and adidas.de

Short answer: sometimes, and never automatically. adidas runs separate country stores with separate prices, sales calendars and catalogues; adidas.de's own terms say it delivers "only to addresses in Germany" (adidas.de terms and conditions, verified 22 October 2026), and adidas.com/us is a different shop. Whether a given pair is cheaper in Germany depends on the model, the day and the exchange rate, so we deliberately do not print a price table here: a table written in October is wrong by November. Why the gap exists at all

Three reasons, none of them a secret. First, adidas prices each market separately, and European heritage lines are often positioned and discounted differently in Europe than in the US. Second, catalogues differ: colourways, collaborations and size runs sold on adidas.de may not be listed on adidas.com at all, so "cheaper" sometimes means "available". Third, the euro–dollar rate moves the comparison by itself; a 5% currency move wipes out or doubles a modest gap. None of this means Germany is always cheaper — in sale weeks the US site can undercut Europe, and for US-made or US-stocked lines it usually does.

How to buy from adidas.de in the US

Because adidas.de delivers only inside Germany, you need a German delivery address. Resendify gives you one. • Duty applies from the first dollar. The US suspended the $800 de minimis allowance for every origin on 29 August 2025. Footwear is among the higher-duty chapters of the US tariff, and the rate follows the HS code and the country of manufacture on the shoe box (Vietnam, Indonesia, Germany for the Made-in-Germany lines) — not the country you bought it in. The recipient pays at destination; we never collect it.
• VAT is not refunded. adidas.de prices include German VAT and that stays in the price when the parcel is exported.
• Returns. adidas returns are handled in the country of purchase. Check the check-in photos and your size before forwarding; our team can send a package back to the seller from the warehouse on request (free or a small fee depending on your plan, carrier cost on you), but not once it has left Germany.
• One pair is the worst case. Forwarding and duty are fixed-ish costs; the gap only pays off when you forward several items together or when the item simply is not sold in the US.
