Why buy from Nike Europe for Australia?

Euro prices and EU-exclusive styles — delivered to Australia

Nike Europe prices in euros are 20–35% below Australian Nike retail pricing on the same models. European-exclusive colourways and earlier sneaker releases make it a go-to for Australian Nike fans. Australian retail prices on European brands include significant import markups. Buying direct from Europe with a Resendify forwarding address typically saves 20–40% versus buying the same items in Australia. Shipping time from Europe to Australia depends on the carrier and service level you choose. Resendify prepares all GST and border-force documentation so your parcel clears customs smoothly.

What to buy from Nike Europe

Nike's European stores (nike.com/de, /fr, /nl, /it and more) carry the full regional catalogue in euros — including drops, colorways and SNKRS releases that never reach Australia or sell out locally in seconds. You're shopping the same Nike, just the deeper European assortment at the European shelf price. Lifestyle icons lead the way: the Air Force 1 '07 sits at 119,99 EUR on Nike EU versus an A$170 RRP here, the Dunk Low Retro around 119,99 EUR versus roughly A$180 on nike.com/au, and the Air Max line (90, 95, 97, Plus/TN, Dn) runs the full Europe-skewed range. To buy Nike Europe and ship to Australia, the play is simple: shop the EU site, send it to your free EU forwarding address, and we forward it on.

  • Air Force 1 '07 (men's/women's) — 119,99 EUR on Nike EU vs A$170 RRP in Australia
  • Dunk Low Retro — ~119,99 EUR on Nike EU vs ~A$180 on nike.com/au
  • Pegasus road-running (Pegasus 41) — ~139,99 EUR on Nike EU vs A$219.95 in Australia
  • Air Max 97 ~99,99–124,99 EUR; Air Max Plus/TN ~139,99–189,99 EUR (EU market pricing)
  • Running performance: Vomero, Invincible and the Alphafly/Vaporfly race line in full EU size runs
  • Football boots (Mercurial, Phantom) and basketball, plus Jordan Brand and ACG
  • Apparel: Tech Fleece, Dri-FIT and Sportswear Club — lighter to forward and easy to consolidate with a pair
  • SNKRS and region-exclusive Europe releases that don't launch in Australia
The problem

Nike Europe doesn't ship to Australia. Here's the fix.

🚫

Nike Europe ships within Europe only

Nike Europe's European site ships only within Europe. Australian shoppers are limited to local retailers that charge a significant import premium on the same products.

💸

Australian retail prices are 20–40% higher

European brands sold in Australia include distributor margins and import costs that inflate the price well above direct EU purchasing.

👟

EU-exclusive styles not available in Australia

Some EU collections and colourways are never released in the Australian market. Ordering direct from Europe gives access to the complete range.

Sizing: read the EU site as an Australian shopper

Nike EU sites default to EU sizing, so the trick is converting to your Australian size before you order. For footwear, Australian men's sizing follows UK — so the EU site's UK column is your AU men's size. AU women's sizing runs roughly one size above UK, so size carefully off the centimetre (cm) column rather than guessing. Nike trends slightly small and narrow, so for many models half a size up is the safer call. Apparel uses international XS–XXL; EU tops and bottoms run a touch slim versus AU, so check each product's own size guide. These are footwear and apparel only — no voltage or SPF concerns, which keeps forwarding to Australia straightforward.

  • Women's reference: EU 38 ~ UK 4.5 ~ US 7; EU 39 ~ UK 5.5 ~ US 8; EU 40.5 ~ UK 6.5 ~ US 9
  • AU men: read the EU site's UK column as your size; AU women: runs ~1 size above UK — use the cm column
  • Nike runs small/narrow — consider half a size up, especially on Air Max and tighter lifestyle silhouettes
  • Apparel: EU/international XS–XXL runs slightly slim vs AU — check each product's size guide

Customs & import duty: EU → Australia

Here is the version most forwarders won't tell you. Australia has a high duty de minimis: if the customs value of your parcel is AUD 1,000 or less, there is no customs duty and no import processing charge (alcohol and tobacco are the exceptions). Above AUD 1,000, customs duty (often around 5% MFN on apparel, footwear, leather and cosmetics; many electronics 0–5%) plus the import processing charge are collected at the border. The EU–Australia free trade agreement is not yet in force, so standard MFN rates still apply—there is no preferential discount on EU-origin goods.

The catch is GST. Australia charges 10% GST with no tax-free threshold, so even a low-value parcel is taxed. On goods valued at AUD 1,000 or less, that 10% is collected up front at checkout by the overseas seller, the platform, or the re-deliverer/forwarder (vendor-collected, DDP-style). Above AUD 1,000, GST is paid at the border together with any customs duty and the import processing charge. And to be straight with you: shipping to your EU forwarding address means EU VAT is charged at purchase and is generally not reclaimable by a private consumer—the tourist refund scheme requires you to personally export the goods with a customs stamp, which forwarding does not provide.

We estimate your full landed cost—item + shipping + estimated duty and GST—before you ship, so you can plan with a realistic estimate. Create your free EU forwarding address and run the calculator.

The honest VAT and GST picture

Let's be straight about tax. The euro price you see on Nike EU already includes European VAT, and shipping your order to a European forwarding address does not let a private shopper reclaim that VAT. We will not promise you a VAT refund — anyone who does is misleading you. The real value here isn't a tax trick; it's access and price. You get the deeper European catalogue, SNKRS and region-locked drops that never reach Australia, and euro shelf prices that frequently undercut the local RRP even after currency conversion and forwarding — Air Force 1 '07 at 119,99 EUR (about A$200) versus A$170 here being the honest, modest example. On the destination side, Australia applies 10% GST to imported goods and has no tax-free threshold for GST, so it applies even to low-value orders; for goods valued at or below AUD 1,000 that GST is collected at checkout by the seller, platform or forwarder rather than at the border, and there is no customs duty or import processing charge at that level.

Forwarding to an EU address does not allow a private consumer to reclaim EU VAT; we never promise a VAT refund. Australia charges 10% GST with no tax-free threshold (collected at checkout on orders at or below AUD 1,000); customs duty applies only above the AUD 1,000 de minimis. Australian GST and any border charges are the shopper's responsibility. Figures verified 2026-06-13. Source: ABF (GST via the ATO).

Shipping Nike from the EU to Australia

A single boxed pair of sneakers usually weighs about 1.2–1.8 kg (shoe plus box and mailer), with chunkier Air Max, high-tops and boots at the upper end. Apparel is far lighter — a tee around 0.2–0.3 kg, a Tech Fleece hoodie around 0.6–0.9 kg. The catch is that forwarders bill on whichever is greater, actual weight or volumetric (dimensional) weight, and a shoe box is bulky for its mass: a single pair often rates around 2–2.5 kg volumetric. That makes consolidation the biggest lever you have — ship two or three pairs, or pairs plus apparel, in one outbound box to Australia and you spread that volumetric cost instead of paying a base charge per parcel.

  • Single pair of sneakers: ~1.2–1.8 kg actual, but often ~2–2.5 kg volumetric (shoe boxes are bulky)
  • Apparel is light: tee ~0.2–0.3 kg, Tech Fleece hoodie ~0.6–0.9 kg — easy to add to a shoe shipment
  • You're billed on the greater of actual vs volumetric weight — consolidate to dilute the dimensional hit

Worked example: landed cost to Australia

Here's a dated, illustrative landed-cost build for a single pair of Air Force 1 '07 at 119,99 EUR, forwarded from our EU warehouse to Australia (figures as of 2026-06-13; FX and freight vary). At a customs value well under the AUD 1,000 duty de minimis, there is no customs duty and no import processing charge — only Australia's 10% GST applies, and on a low-value order that GST is collected at checkout by the seller, platform or forwarder rather than at the border. Convert the euro price to roughly A$200, add forwarding for a single pair (volumetric ~2–2.5 kg), and apply 10% GST. Add a second or third pair in the same box and the per-pair freight drops sharply. Run your own combination in the on-page calculator and register a free EU address to lock in a real European delivery point.

Illustrative example as of 2026-06-13 in AUD; not a quote. Australia's customs duty de minimis is AUD 1,000 (customs value) — at or below it there is no duty and no import processing charge (excludes tobacco/alcohol). 10% GST has no tax-free threshold and applies even to low-value goods; on orders at or below AUD 1,000 it is collected at checkout by the seller, platform or forwarder, while above AUD 1,000 GST, any duty and the import processing charge are paid at the border. The EU–Australia FTA is not yet in force, so MFN rates still apply. FX and freight vary. Source: Australian Border Force (GST via the ATO). Source: Australian Border Force (ABF).

Returns from Australia: plan around them

Returns are the weak point of buying direct from Nike EU. Nike's free 30-day returns apply only inside the region where the order was placed — they cover the EU delivery leg, not a parcel shipped back from Australia. In practice, returning a pair means paying international postage back to an EU address (often more than a single pair is worth) plus handling. The realistic approach is to get the size and colorway right before you order using the EU/UK/cm chart above, and to treat forwarded purchases as largely final. Some forwarders can process an EU-side return for you, but you still carry the cost — so the smart play is to nail the size first and lean on the value of styles you simply can't get in Australia.

  • Nike's free 30-day returns cover the EU region only — not a return shipped from Australia
  • Returning means paying international postage back to an EU address plus handling — often uneconomic for one pair
  • Confirm size and colorway up front with the EU/UK/cm chart; treat forwarded orders as largely final
  • A forwarder may handle an EU-side return for you, but you bear the cost
  • SNKRS and launch products can carry extra purchase limits and regional access rules
