Turkish parcels and Brazilian import tax (2026)
Turkey has no trade agreement with Mercosur that lowers Brazilian import duty, so a Turkish parcel is taxed exactly like any other forwarded consignment: a flat 60% Import Duty (Imposto de Importação) on the customs value, plus your state's ICMS on top. Customs value means the price of the goods plus international freight and insurance — not just the product price.
The reduced rates widely discussed since 2024 belong to Remessa Conforme, a programme for foreign retailers that certify directly with the Receita Federal. A forwarder is not a certified retailer, so those tiers do not apply to a parcel we send. We would rather you plan for the full 60% and be pleasantly surprised than budget for a rate you will not get.
What we do control is the declaration. We declare the price you actually paid and attach the purchase invoice, which is what keeps a parcel moving instead of being held for value assessment.
