Export to Mexico from Italy
without handling the shipping
We collect from your premises, do the export paperwork and fly it to your customer's door, in boxes or on pallets. Mexico is where our best-documented shipments went. A commercial import there goes through a customs agent with a pedimento: we send everything that agent needs, ready to file.

What holds back a sale to Mexico
Your usual carrier does not go that far
Domestic couriers and road groupage stop in Europe. A customer on another continent needs air freight, paperwork and someone to coordinate it.
Commercial imports need a customs agent
In Mexico, a commercial shipment is cleared by a licensed customs agent with a pedimento, not by the simplified courier route. Your customer needs one, or to use the carrier's.
The importer must be registered
The receiving company must be on the Padrón de Importadores, and some product categories need an extra sector register. Worth checking with your customer before you ship.
Batteries or perfume: nobody will take them
Dangerous goods get turned away almost everywhere. We handle the process and have a specialist repack them so they can fly.
Warehouses and receiving points across key global markets
We can receive your packages in multiple strategic countries, giving you access to stores, suppliers and marketplaces that would otherwise be hard to reach internationally.
The kind of goods we can ship for you
How it works: you sell, we take it to Mexico
You have closed a sale with a customer abroad and now it has to ship. You do not need a logistics department or customs know-how: tell us what it is and where it goes, and we handle the rest from Italy.
We reply with a quote within 24 business hours. If you accept it, we book the collection and keep you posted at every step until delivery.
- 1. Tell us about the order: what it is, roughly what it weighs and which country it goes to
- 2. We collect from your warehouse or office, or you drop it at our warehouse
- 3. If it is not packed or palletized, we prepare it
- 4. We prepare all the export paperwork and fly it, in boxes or on a pallet
- 5. We deliver to your customer's door; your customer pays the import duties and taxes of their country
What we do, and what falls to your customer
The point is that you do nothing but sell. This table shows who handles each part, so you can explain it to your customer before the goods leave.
The one thing outside our hands is the destination country's duties and taxes: its customs sets them and whoever receives the goods pays them.
| Step | Who handles it |
|---|---|
| Collection from your warehouse or office (or drop-off at ours) | Us |
| Packing and palletizing, if it does not come ready | Us (a separate line in the quote) |
| Export paperwork | Us, with the details you give us |
| Air freight, in boxes or on a pallet | Us |
| Import clearance at destination | The customs agent at destination; we coordinate |
| Import duties and taxes | Your customer, in their country |
| Delivery to the customer's door | Us |
What your Mexican customer meets at customs
In Mexico a commercial import is cleared by a customs agent with a pedimento, the document that covers the goods' legal entry. The receiving company must be on the Padrón de Importadores and pays 16% VAT on the customs value plus duty, normally creditable.
The EU and Mexico have a trade agreement that gives a preferential rate to genuine EU-origin goods with the exporter's origin declaration. A modernised agreement was signed in 2026 and is going through ratification, so your customer's agent should confirm the rule in force.
- Commercial imports go through a licensed customs agent with a pedimento, not the simplified courier route
- The importer must be on the Padrón de Importadores; some categories also need a sector register
- 16% VAT on customs value plus duty, normally creditable for a registered company
- EU–Mexico agreement: preferential duty on genuine EU-origin goods with the exporter's origin declaration
- Our published HPL and gym cases both went from Spain to Mexico, consolidated on one pallet
- Above €6,000 of EU-origin goods per consignment, the origin statement requires the exporter to be registered in the REX system (or an approved exporter, depending on the agreement); below that, the statement on the invoice is enough
Last updated: Reviewed August 2026. General information for planning, reviewed August 2026 — not customs or tax advice. Rules and rates change: your customer should confirm the ones in force with Mexico's National Customs Agency (ANAM) or their customs agent before the goods leave. Duties are paid by whoever receives it: tell your customer first
We deliver to the door, but the destination country's import duties and VAT or sales taxes are on the recipient. That is standard in exporting, and it keeps you from advancing a tax you do not control.
The practical advice is to tell your customer before the goods leave. A recipient who does not expect to pay on arrival may refuse the delivery, and that does cost money. If you like, we will help you explain how it works in their country.
- Your quote covers collection, export paperwork, air freight and delivery
- Import duties and taxes are paid by the recipient in their country
- How much depends on the product, the declared value and the country's rules at the time
- If your goods are of EU origin and the destination has a trade agreement with the EU, the origin statement on the invoice can lower your customer's duty
Batteries, perfume and aerosols: they fly too
Few operators accept dangerous goods, and that is exactly what stalls companies selling cosmetics, perfume or devices with lithium batteries. We handle the ADR process in Spain and a dangerous-goods specialist checks and repacks the cargo for the flight. From Italy the goods first travel to Spain by road under ADR, which adds a few days.
Each case is quoted separately, because it depends on what it is, how much each unit holds and how it is packed. Depending on type and quantity it can fly on a passenger aircraft, only on a freighter, or not be acceptable at all: we confirm that before you ship anything.
- Perfume and cologne, aerosols, lithium batteries loose or inside a device, paints and other chemicals
- Dangerous-goods handling starts at €120 and depends on the cargo, the number of packages and the weight
- It adds at least 5 business days to the process, on top of transit
- To quote we need the composition, how it is packed and in how many boxes: the form asks for it
How the price is worked out
Air freight charges the greater of two weights: the actual one and the volumetric one, which is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 6,000. A large, light box pays for its volume; a pallet of metal parts, for its weight.
We do not publish a fixed rate because it changes with the route, the collection and the packing. What we do is reply with a concrete price within 24 business hours. The calculator above gives you a first idea for boxes.
Real shipments, with their figures
Three operations published on this site, with the numbers as they happened. All three left Spain, not Italy: we show them because the method is the same one we run from our Italian warehouse.
They are not rates: every shipment is quoted on its own weight, volume, route and collection. The timings are what those shipments took, not a promise for yours.
- HPL panels to Mexico: 150 panels of 8 mm, 296 kg on one 120×80×50 cm pallet, 17 days documented door to door
- Gym equipment to Monterrey: 24 packages, 317 kg consolidated into a single pallet, from Day 0 to around Day 15
- Elevator components to Colombia: two 78 kg door leaves and a 124 kg motor, 280 kg in all; about €15/kg thanks to a last-minute offer, when the usual reference is closer to €20/kg
Questions from companies that export
A licensed customs agent in Mexico, your customer's or the carrier's. We send the export documentation and the data the agent needs. Duty and VAT are paid by your customer.
Yes, but a private recipient and a registered company are cleared differently. Tell us who receives it when you ask for a quote and we will explain how that shipment will be cleared.
No. You give us the shipment details (what it is, what it is worth, who it goes to) and we prepare the export paperwork. If customs needs anything else, we ask you for it.
Yes, we collect from your warehouse or office. If it suits you better, you can also bring the goods to our warehouse. Give us the postcode when you ask for a quote.
Ideally they come packed, but if not, we pack or palletize them for the flight. That work shows up as a separate line in the quote.
Whoever receives the goods, in their country. We deliver to their door; import duties and taxes are set by the destination's customs. It is worth telling your customer before the goods leave.
No. We fly boxes and pallets, few or many: from one box with an urgent part to several pallets of a wholesale order.
We do not give a fixed transit time, because it depends on the route, the collection and clearance at destination, which we do not fully control. For reference, the HPL panel shipment to Mexico took 17 documented days door to door. If you have a deadline, tell us when you ask for a quote.
Yes. We handle the dangerous-goods process and a specialist repacks the cargo for the flight. It is quoted separately, starts at €120 and adds at least 5 business days, plus the road leg to Spain. We confirm beforehand whether your cargo can fly.
Yes. If you sell abroad every month, we set up a fixed routine so that each shipment is just a message to us. Tell us how often in the form.

Under CETA, genuine EU-origin goods can enter Canada at 0% duty if the origin declaration is on the invoice.
Australia has no duty on goods up to A$1,000, but 10% GST applies either way.
