UK import VAT and duty on parcels from Europe (2026)
Since Brexit, parcels sent from the EU to the UK are treated as imports. Import VAT (standard rate 20%) applies to virtually everything: on consignments of £135 or less it is normally collected at checkout, while above £135 import VAT and any customs duty are charged at the border. UK customs duty is currently relieved on consignments of £135 or less. Under the EU–UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement many EU-origin goods qualify for 0% customs duty — but that needs a valid proof of origin, which a private Wallapop or Vinted seller almost never provides, so plan for standard duty on items above £135.
Because your seller is an individual with no commercial invoice, we prepare the customs declaration from your purchase price, and VAT is charged on that second-hand value rather than the original retail. Consolidating several finds into one parcel keeps per-shipment fees down.
