How to buy on todocoleccion and ship it to the USA
todocoleccion is where Spanish collectors trade: comics and tebeos, coins, stamps, postcards, vintage toys, football memorabilia, books and antiques. Sellers are mostly private collectors and small shops, and each one chooses where they ship — many stop at Spain or Europe, and the platform's insured shipping covers Spain, Portugal and Andorra.
With a Resendify address in Spain, your purchase becomes a domestic delivery. We photograph each lot at check-in so you can see its condition, combine lots from different sellers if you want, and forward them to the USA.
- Ship to your Spanish address so the seller's domestic shipping and insurance apply
- Ask sellers for extra photos before buying graded or fragile items
- Combine lots from several sellers to pay international shipping once
- Keep your purchase records — customs value is what you paid
US import duty on second-hand parcels from Europe (2026)
Since 29 August 2025 the United States has suspended the $800 "de minimis" duty-free allowance for every country of origin — not just China. A parcel forwarded from Europe to the USA is now dutiable regardless of its value, so even a low-value second-hand item goes through a customs entry and can be charged duty.
The United States has no federal VAT, so there is no sales tax collected at the border (your state's use tax may apply after delivery); what you pay is customs duty based on the product's HS code plus the EU "reciprocal" tariff in force at the time.
Buying on todocoleccion adds one twist: many sellers are private collectors with no commercial invoice. We prepare an accurate customs declaration from the price you actually paid — and because duty is assessed on the second-hand value, not the original retail price, it pays to keep your purchase confirmation. As the importer of record you are responsible for any duty; we make sure the paperwork is clean so your parcel clears smoothly.
| Item | Rule of thumb (2026) |
|---|---|
| De minimis (duty-free threshold) | None since 29 Aug 2025 — every value is dutiable |
| Base customs duty | Varies by product / HS code |
| EU tariff | Reciprocal rate in force — verify at purchase |
| VAT / sales tax | No federal VAT; state use tax may apply after delivery |
| Postal shipments | Ad valorem duty method since 28 Feb 2026 |
| Customs entry | Informal under $2,500; formal at $2,500+ |

US low-value-import rules changed sharply in 2025–2026: the $800 de minimis is suspended for all countries and tariff rates are under active review. Buying on todocoleccion and shipping to the USA
Some do, many don't: each seller chooses their destinations, and some state they don't accept orders from the Americas. A Resendify address in Spain turns your purchase into a domestic delivery.
todocoleccion's shipping service with Correos insures domestic deliveries in Spain, which is where your lot travels to. Once it reaches us we photograph it at check-in; insurance for the international leg depends on the carrier and options you choose.
Yes. Everything delivered to your Spanish address can be consolidated into one shipment.
From the price you paid. Keep your purchase records; duty, where it applies, is calculated on that value.
Most likely yes. Since the $800 de minimis was suspended for all countries in August 2025, parcels are dutiable regardless of value — second-hand included. There is no federal VAT, so you pay customs duty based on the item's HS code. Duty is assessed on the price you paid, not the original retail, so keep your purchase confirmation.
