MediaMarkt.de is Europe's biggest electronics retailer — Samsung and LG OLED TVs, Sony and Canon cameras and lenses, gaming laptops, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Bose and Sennheiser headphones, and German-market small appliances, all at EUR prices. Get a German address in Munich and we forward your order to any UK doorstep.
Since Brexit, buying tech across the Channel got harder — but MediaMarkt.de still carries deep stock of TVs, cameras, lenses, laptops, consoles and audio gear, often at sharper EUR prices than UK high-street electronics chains. A good-news detail for the UK: mains voltage is the same 230V on both sides, so most gear runs natively. The catch is the plug — Germany uses the Europlug/Type F, the UK uses Type G, so you will need a travel adapter (or a UK power cable for kit with a detachable lead). Note that menus and keyboards ship in German by default (laptops have QWERTZ layouts) and the manufacturer warranty is registered in the EU. Shipping time from Europe to the United Kingdom depends on the carrier and service level you choose. Resendify handles UK import declarations and VAT paperwork so you receive your order without delays.
MediaMarkt only delivers to German and selected EU addresses. Post-Brexit, a UK billing or delivery address won't pass checkout — you need a German address to order.
The UK runs on 230V like Germany, so TVs, laptops and consoles work fine. You just need a Type F to Type G adapter, or swap the kettle-style power cable for a UK one.
Cameras, lenses and premium audio are frequently cheaper in EUR on MediaMarkt.de than the same model at a UK retailer, even before sale events like German Black Friday.
Big-screen TVs and consoles are bulky, weight-driven shipments. Without a forwarder you face refused or eye-watering courier quotes from Germany to the UK.
Resendify gives you a real local address at our warehouses. Shop where the deals are, we collect, repack and forward — you stay in control the whole way.
Pick a warehouse in Spain, Germany, the UK or the US. We assign you a real street address — yours within minutes.
Use your Resendify address at checkout — Amazon DE, Zara, Decathlon, eBay, anywhere. Even sellers that don't ship abroad.
Photos on arrival, optional repacking, and consolidation of multiple orders into one shipment to save up to 70%.
Pick your courier and track door-to-door. Email alerts on every tracking update.
We can receive your packages in multiple strategic countries, giving you access to stores, suppliers and marketplaces that would otherwise be hard to reach internationally.
Here is the version most forwarders won't tell you. The UK has a single number that controls everything: GBP 135 per consignment, measured on the goods value alone (shipping and insurance don't count). At or below GBP 135, there is no customs duty, and the overseas seller charges 20% UK VAT at checkout. Above GBP 135, the carrier collects import VAT (and any duty) when it delivers and adds a handling fee. Note the dates: the GBP 135 duty relief is still in force today — its abolition was announced in the Autumn Budget 2025 but is future-dated 'by March 2029 at the latest,' so it does not apply now. There is no VAT-free threshold for commercial goods: above GBP 135 the 20% import VAT is charged on the full value, not just the part over GBP 135. Only genuine person-to-person gifts up to GBP 39 are VAT-free.
Duty itself is often 0% on EU-origin goods: under the UK-EU trade agreement (TCA), a valid statement of origin gets you 0% duty. Without it, standard MFN rates apply — roughly 12% on clothing, 8% on footwear, 2% on leather goods — while perfume, cosmetics, phones and laptops are 0% anyway. One caveat we won't sugarcoat: shipping to an EU forwarding address counts as a domestic EU sale, so EU VAT is charged and a private buyer generally cannot reclaim it. The tourist refund requires you to personally export the goods with a customs stamp — a forwarder cannot do that for you. So before you ship, we estimate your full landed cost — item + shipping + estimated duty — so you can plan with a realistic estimate. Create your free EU forwarding address and run the calculator.

From fashion to car parts, from luxury to electronics — global shoppers use Resendify to buy from Europe without limits.

Yes. Resendify gives you a real German warehouse address in Munich to use at mediamarkt.de. Once your order arrives, we forward it to any UK address. If you also shop in other markets, we run the same service from France, Italy and Spain.
On voltage, yes — both the UK and Germany run on 230V / 50Hz, so TVs, laptops, consoles and appliances run natively. The difference is the plug: German kit ships with a Type F (Europlug) connector, while the UK uses Type G, so add a travel adapter or fit a UK power cable. Menus and laptop keyboards default to German (QWERTZ); most devices let you switch the system language to English.
Shipping is weight and size driven. A camera or pair of headphones is light and cheap to send; a 55-inch OLED TV is bulky and the price reflects its dimensions. Use our calculator for an exact quote before you buy, and we recommend insurance on fragile, high-value items. Mediamarkt Germany Ship items shipped from Germany to the United Kingdom can be covered up to declared value — declare accurately at checkout.
Usually yes, because most electronics exceed the £135 threshold. Parcels at or below £135 generally clear without duty (import VAT can still apply); above £135 you pay 20% UK import VAT plus any applicable duty on the declared value. We provide full customs documentation. For Mediamarkt Germany Ship shipments specifically heading to the United Kingdom, our team pre-fills the commercial invoice to streamline clearance.
The manufacturer warranty is registered in the EU. Brands like Sony, Samsung, Canon and Bose often honour warranties internationally, but service may need to route back through Europe. Keep your MediaMarkt invoice — we include it with the shipment.
Yes. We hold your parcels at our Munich warehouse for up to 60 days so you can combine a TV, an accessory order and a camera into a single shipment to the UK and save on per-parcel cost.
