MediaMarkt.de is Europe's biggest electronics retailer — Sony and Canon cameras and lenses, gaming laptops, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Bose and Sennheiser headphones and German-market gear at EUR prices. Get a German address in Munich and we forward your order to any address in Canada. One honest caveat first: Germany runs on 230V and Canada on 120V, so choose dual-voltage gear.
MediaMarkt.de opens up European-spec cameras, lenses, laptops, consoles and premium audio, with German sale events often beating Canadian retail in EUR even after forwarding. Read the voltage carefully, though: Germany is 230V / 50Hz and Canada is 120V / 60Hz, so the smart buys are dual-voltage devices. Laptop chargers, phone bricks, and most camera and console power supplies are 100–240V and only need a plug adapter (Germany uses Type F; Canada uses Type A/B). Anything single-voltage 230V — kettles, hair dryers, many small appliances — will NOT work on Canadian power even with an adapter, and would need a heavy step-down transformer. Note too that menus and laptop keyboards default to German (QWERTZ) and the warranty is registered in the EU. Shipping time from Europe to Canada depends on the carrier and service level you choose. Resendify handles customs declarations and provides door-to-door tracking for all Canadian provinces.
MediaMarkt only delivers to German and selected EU addresses. A Canadian card or delivery address won't pass checkout — you need a German address to order.
Germany is 230V, Canada is 120V. Dual-voltage gear (laptops, cameras, consoles, phones) just needs a plug adapter; single-voltage 230V appliances need a step-down transformer or simply won't run. Check the spec plate before you buy.
Cameras, lenses and premium audio are frequently cheaper in EUR on MediaMarkt.de than the same model at Best Buy Canada, especially during German sale events — even after shipping.
Germany to Canada is a long route and tech is fragile. A forwarder packs and consolidates properly so a single insured shipment stays sensible and arrives safely.
Resendify gives you a real local address at our warehouses. Shop where the deals are, we collect, repack and forward — you stay in control the whole way.
Pick a warehouse in Spain, Germany, the UK or the US. We assign you a real street address — yours within minutes.

Pick your courier and track door-to-door. Email alerts on every tracking update.
We can receive your packages in multiple strategic countries, giving you access to stores, suppliers and marketplaces that would otherwise be hard to reach internationally.
Here is the honest version most forwarders won't tell you. For a parcel coming from the EU, Canada's de minimis is just CAD 20 — both duty and tax. Above that, GST/HST/PST applies to the entire value, not only the part over CAD 20. Watch out for the most common mistake online: the widely-quoted CAD 150 (duty) and CAD 40 (tax) thresholds are NOT for you. Those only apply to courier goods shipped from the US or Mexico under CUSMA, and they do not cover EU parcels — quoting them would badly understate what a Canadian actually pays. The consumption tax is 5% federal GST plus a provincial component, so combined roughly 5%-15% depending on the recipient's province (for example Alberta 5%, Ontario 13%, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador and PEI 15%). The carrier collects this on delivery (the courier CLVS program; Canada Post adds about CAD 9.95 in handling), though some merchants prepay it as DDP. One number to plan around: your EU store price already includes local EU VAT, and shipping through a forwarder to an EU address does not let a private shopper reclaim that VAT (a tourist refund needs a personal export with a customs stamp, which a forwarder can't do). So budget against the EU sticker price, not a tax-free one.
On duty, the good news is that EU-origin goods are 0% under CETA — but only if the EU seller includes a valid CETA origin declaration on the invoice. Without that declaration, standard MFN rates apply (clothing roughly 16-18%, footwear roughly 16-20%, leather roughly 8-11%), while cosmetics and most electronics are largely 0% either way. Because whether you pay 0% or full MFN hinges on a single line on the seller's invoice, a generic "X% on clothes" figure tells you very little about your actual bill. Rather than guess, we estimate your full landed cost — item value, plus shipping, plus estimated duty — before you ship, so you can plan with a realistic estimate. Yes. Resendify gives you a real German warehouse address in Munich to use at mediamarkt.de. Once your order arrives, we forward it to any Canadian address. We can also forward from France, Italy and Spain if you shop other European markets.
Be careful here — this is the big difference for Canada. Germany runs on 230V / 50Hz, Canada on 120V / 60Hz. Dual-voltage devices marked 100–240V (most laptop and camera chargers, phone bricks, console power supplies) only need a Type F to Type A/B plug adapter. But single-voltage 230V items — kettles, hair dryers, many small appliances — will not run on Canadian power and need a step-down transformer. Always read the spec plate before buying. Menus and laptop keyboards default to German (QWERTZ); you can switch the system language to English on most devices.
Shipping is weight and size driven and Canada is a long-haul route. A camera, lens or headphones is light and affordable to send; bulkier items are priced by their dimensions. Use our calculator for an exact quote before you buy, and we recommend insurance on fragile, high-value electronics. Mediamarkt Germany Ship items shipped from Germany to Canada can be covered up to declared value — declare accurately at checkout.
Almost always, yes. Canada's postal de minimis is just CAD 20 for parcels from the EU, so most electronics are taxed. You pay 5% GST plus provincial tax (PST or HST depending on your province) and any applicable duty on the declared value. We provide full customs documentation so it clears smoothly. For Mediamarkt Germany Ship shipments specifically heading to Canada, our team pre-fills the commercial invoice to streamline clearance.
The manufacturer warranty is registered in the EU. Brands like Sony, Canon and Bose often honour warranties internationally, but service may need to route back through Europe. Keep your MediaMarkt invoice — we include it with the shipment.
Yes, and on a long route to Canada it saves the most. We hold your parcels at our Munich warehouse for up to 60 days so you can combine a camera, a lens and an accessory order into one insured shipment and cut the per-parcel cost.
