MediaMarkt.de is Europe's biggest electronics retailer — Samsung and LG OLED TVs, Sony and Canon cameras and lenses, gaming laptops, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Bose and Sennheiser headphones, and German-market small appliances, all at EUR prices. Get a German address in Munich and we forward your order to any address in Australia.
European gadget prices and German sale events (think German Black Friday) routinely undercut Australian RRPs on cameras, lenses, laptops and premium headphones, even after forwarding. There is good news on power, too: Australia runs on 230V / 50Hz, the same as Germany, so TVs, laptops and consoles work natively. The only change is the plug — Germany uses Type F (Europlug) and Australia uses the angled Type I, so add a simple travel adapter or fit an Australian power lead. Worth knowing: menus and laptop keyboards default to German (QWERTZ layout), and the manufacturer warranty is registered in the EU. Shipping time from Europe to Australia depends on the carrier and service level you choose. Resendify prepares all GST and border-force documentation so your parcel clears customs smoothly.
MediaMarkt only delivers to German and selected EU addresses. An Australian card or delivery address won't pass checkout — you need a German address to order.
Australia runs on 230V like Germany, so TVs, laptops and consoles work fine straight out of the box. You only need a Type F to Type I adapter, or an Australian power cable for kit with a detachable lead.
Cameras, lenses and premium audio are often markedly cheaper in EUR on MediaMarkt.de than the same model at JB Hi-Fi or Harvey Norman, even once shipping is added.
Germany to Australia is a long route and TVs and consoles are bulky and fragile. A forwarder consolidates and packs them properly so a single shipment stays economical.

Here is the version most forwarders won't tell you. Australia has a high duty de minimis: if the customs value of your parcel is AUD 1,000 or less, there is no customs duty and no import processing charge (alcohol and tobacco are the exceptions). Above AUD 1,000, customs duty (often around 5% MFN on apparel, footwear, leather and cosmetics; many electronics 0–5%) plus the import processing charge are collected at the border. The EU–Australia free trade agreement is not yet in force, so standard MFN rates still apply—there is no preferential discount on EU-origin goods.
The catch is GST. Australia charges 10% GST with no tax-free threshold, so even a low-value parcel is taxed. On goods valued at AUD 1,000 or less, that 10% is collected up front at checkout by the overseas seller, the platform, or the re-deliverer/forwarder (vendor-collected, DDP-style). Above AUD 1,000, GST is paid at the border together with any customs duty and the import processing charge. And to be straight with you: shipping to your EU forwarding address means EU VAT is charged at purchase and is generally not reclaimable by a private consumer—the tourist refund scheme requires you to personally export the goods with a customs stamp, which forwarding does not provide.
We estimate your full landed cost—item + shipping + estimated duty and GST—before you ship, so you can plan with a realistic estimate. Create your free EU forwarding address and run the calculator.

From fashion to car parts, from luxury to electronics — global shoppers use Resendify to buy from Europe without limits.

Yes. Resendify gives you a real German warehouse address in Munich to use at mediamarkt.de. Once your order arrives, we forward it to any Australian address. We can also forward from France, Italy and Spain if you shop other European markets.
On voltage, yes — Australia and Germany both run on 230V / 50Hz, so TVs, laptops, consoles and appliances run natively. The only difference is the plug: German kit ships with a Type F (Europlug) connector while Australia uses the angled Type I, so add a travel adapter or fit an Australian power lead. Menus and laptop keyboards default to German (QWERTZ); most devices let you switch the system language to English.
Shipping is weight and size driven and Australia is a long-haul route. A camera or headphones is light and affordable to send; a 55-inch OLED TV is bulky and priced by its dimensions. Use our calculator for an exact quote before you buy, and we recommend insurance on fragile, high-value items. Mediamarkt Germany Ship items shipped from Germany to Australia can be covered up to declared value — declare accurately at checkout.
Consignments valued at AUD 1,000 or less generally clear without duty, though 10% GST applies. Above AUD 1,000 you pay customs duty plus 10% GST and a processing charge on the declared value — and most TVs, laptops and cameras sit above that threshold. We provide full customs documentation. For Mediamarkt Germany Ship shipments specifically heading to Australia, our team pre-fills the commercial invoice to streamline clearance.
The manufacturer warranty is registered in the EU. Brands like Sony, Samsung, Canon and Bose often honour warranties internationally, but service may need to route back through Europe. Keep your MediaMarkt invoice — we include it with the shipment.
Yes, and it matters most on a long route like this. We hold your parcels at our Munich warehouse for up to 60 days so you can combine a TV, accessories and a camera into one shipment to Australia and cut the per-parcel cost.
