Germany-exclusive colourways, lower EUR prices and earlier releases โ forwarded from adidas.de to any UK address.
Adidas was founded in Germany and its German store carries the widest selection in Europe, including Germany-exclusive colourways and regional releases. EUR prices are often lower than UK GBP equivalents post-Brexit. Resendify gives you a real German address so you can shop adidas.de and forward to any UK address. Shipping time from Europe to the United Kingdom depends on the carrier and service level you choose. Resendify handles UK import declarations and VAT paperwork so you receive your order without delays.
adidas.de is Adidas' home-market flagship, run from Herzogenaurach in Germany, and it carries the deepest European range there is - frequently broader stock, sizes and colourways than adidas.co.uk. It is the natural home of the premium 'Made in Germany' craftsmanship line and DFB German national-team Originals, and hyped terrace styles often land or restock here when UK sizes have sold out.
The catch: since Brexit, Adidas geo-restricts each regional store to its own country, so adidas.de ships to a German (EU) address, not directly to the UK. A free Resendify EU forwarding address gives you a real German delivery point, so you check out on adidas.de as a normal domestic order and we re-ship the parcel to your UK door. Register the address first, then shop - it takes a minute and there's nothing to pay to get the address.
Adidas's German website only delivers within EU member states. UK customers are excluded post-Brexit without a German forwarding address.
The same Adidas trainer on adidas.de often costs ยฃ10โ30 less than on adidas.co.uk, making forwarding from Germany financially attractive.
Adidas Germany launches certain colourways and limited regional drops exclusively. These never appear on adidas.co.uk.
Adidas collaboration releases (Yeezy, designer collabs) often drop in Germany before the UK store receives them.
adidas.de lists footwear in EU (continental) sizes - the same numeric scale you already see in the EU column of every Adidas chart - so the most reliable move is to order by the EU number from the size chart rather than guessing your UK number converts cleanly. Adidas uses fractional EU sizes (42 2/3, 43 1/3) which map neatly to half UK sizes: EU 40 = UK 6.5, EU 42 = UK 8, EU 43 1/3 = UK 9, EU 44 2/3 = UK 10, EU 46 = UK 11.
On fit: terrace styles (Samba, Gazelle, Campus) generally fit true to size but are slim and low-volume, so wide feet often size up half a size. Many lifestyle models are unisex and listed in men's UK sizing, so women should check the gender size note on the product page. Best practice is to measure your foot length in cm and match the cm column on the chart - getting the size right matters more than usual here, because returning from the UK is slower and costlier than a normal UK return.
| EU | UK | US men |
|---|---|---|
| 38 2/3 | 5.5 | 6 |
| 40 | 6.5 | 7 |
| 42 | 8 | 8.5 |
| 43 1/3 | 9 | 9.5 |
| 44 2/3 | 10 | 10.5 |
| 46 | 11 | 11.5 |

Here is the version most forwarders won't tell you. The UK has a single number that controls everything: GBP 135 per consignment, measured on the goods value alone (shipping and insurance don't count). At or below GBP 135, there is no customs duty, and the overseas seller charges 20% UK VAT at checkout. Above GBP 135, the carrier collects import VAT (and any duty) when it delivers and adds a handling fee. Note the dates: the GBP 135 duty relief is still in force today โ its abolition was announced in the Autumn Budget 2025 but is future-dated 'by March 2029 at the latest,' so it does not apply now. There is no VAT-free threshold for commercial goods: above GBP 135 the 20% import VAT is charged on the full value, not just the part over GBP 135. Only genuine person-to-person gifts up to GBP 39 are VAT-free.
Duty itself is often 0% on EU-origin goods: under the UK-EU trade agreement (TCA), a valid statement of origin gets you 0% duty. Without it, standard MFN rates apply โ roughly 12% on clothing, 8% on footwear, 2% on leather goods โ while perfume, cosmetics, phones and laptops are 0% anyway. One caveat we won't sugarcoat: shipping to an EU forwarding address counts as a domestic EU sale, so EU VAT is charged and a private buyer generally cannot reclaim it. The tourist refund requires you to personally export the goods with a customs stamp โ a forwarder cannot do that for you. So before you ship, we estimate your full landed cost โ item + shipping + estimated duty โ so you can plan with a realistic estimate. Create your free EU forwarding address and run the calculator.

The euro prices on adidas.de are VAT-inclusive: they already include German VAT (MwSt, 19%). Here is the honest part - because your order ships to a forwarder address inside the EU, it is a normal German domestic sale, so German VAT is charged and is generally not reclaimable by a private consumer. A tourist VAT refund requires you to personally export the goods and get a customs stamp; a forwarding service cannot do that for you, so we never promise a VAT refund via forwarding.
When we re-ship the parcel from Germany to the UK, it becomes a UK import and UK import VAT (20%) applies on the way in (see the landed-cost example for how that is collected). The real value of buying on adidas.de is not a tax saving - it is access and stock. Since Brexit, adidas.de won't post to a UK address at all without an EU delivery point, and it lists the full continental range, 'Made in Germany' Originals and EU-first colourways that often aren't on adidas.co.uk, or that have sold out there. You pay German retail in euros and we forward it; the win is getting the model, size and colourway you want.
This is general information, not tax advice. German VAT included in adidas.de prices is generally not reclaimable by a private shopper using a forwarding address; we do not facilitate VAT refunds. UK import VAT (20%) applies on goods forwarded into the UK; there is no VAT-free threshold for commercial goods (only person-to-person gifts up to GBP 39 are VAT-free). Sneakers are light cargo, which is good news for forwarding from Germany to the UK. A pair of Adidas terrace shoes weighs roughly 0.66-0.74 kg (about 330-370 g per shoe); boxed with the shoebox and an outer mailer, a typical single-pair parcel runs around 1.0-1.3 kg actual weight. Apparel adds only a few hundred grams per piece.
One thing to watch: a shoebox is bulky, so carriers usually bill by volumetric (dimensional) weight rather than actual weight - budget for roughly 1.5-2 kg chargeable for one pair. Consolidating several pairs, or adding apparel into one outbound box, spreads that base cost over more items, and that is where forwarding really pays off. Run your exact basket through the on-page calculator before you buy, and register a free EU forwarding address to lock in your German delivery point.
| Order | Approx. packed weight |
|---|---|
| 1 pair of sneakers | 1.0-1.3 kg |
| 2 pairs consolidated | 2.0-2.6 kg |
| 1 pair + 2 apparel items | 1.5-2.0 kg |
Here's an illustrative landed-cost estimate (dated 2026-06-14) for a typical single-pair adidas.de order - a Samba OG at about EUR 120, with German VAT already included in that euro price. At roughly 0.85 GBP/EUR that's about GBP 102 of goods value. Numbers are rounded and for illustration only; this is not a quote.
The key UK rule is the GBP 135 consignment threshold (goods value, excluding shipping and insurance). Because your parcel is forwarded into the UK from Germany rather than bought direct from a UK-facing checkout, UK import VAT and any duty are collected by the carrier/forwarder on entry, not by Adidas at checkout. At or below GBP 135 of goods value there is no customs duty; above GBP 135 the carrier collects 20% import VAT plus any duty and adds a handling fee. On duty: EU-origin goods qualify for 0% duty under the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) with a valid statement of origin; without it, MFN applies (footwear around 8%). Adidas products are made worldwide, so origin isn't guaranteed - we estimate landed cost before shipping. A single pair at ~GBP 102 stays under the GBP 135 line, so duty is nil and only 20% import VAT applies; add a pricier pair or a second item and the consignment can cross GBP 135, where duty (origin-dependent) may also apply.
| Line item | Estimate (GBP) |
|---|---|
| Samba OG (~EUR 120, incl. DE VAT) | ~ยฃ102 |
| UK import VAT at 20% (collected on entry) | ~ยฃ20 |
| UK customs duty (0% under ยฃ135 threshold) | ยฃ0 |
| Forwarding (single pair, ~1.0-1.3 kg) + carrier handling | ~ยฃ15-30 |
| Estimated landed cost | ~ยฃ137-152 |
Illustrative only, dated 2026-06-14, in GBP at an approximate 0.85 GBP/EUR rate; not a quote. UK rule: the GBP 135 threshold is on goods value per consignment (excluding shipping and insurance). On goods forwarded into the UK, UK import VAT (20%) and any duty are collected by the carrier on entry, plus a handling fee; there is no VAT-free threshold for commercial goods (only person-to-person gifts up to GBP 39). At or below GBP 135 no customs duty applies; above GBP 135 duty may apply. EU-origin goods are 0% duty under the UK-EU TCA with a valid statement of origin, otherwise MFN applies (clothing ~12%, footwear ~8%, leather ~2%; perfume/cosmetics, phones and laptops are 0% MFN anyway); origin isn't guaranteed on globally made Adidas products. adidas.de gives a 30-day return window for standard products (14 days for hyped 'drop' items such as collaborations), and refunds the original delivery cost when a complete order is returned. The catch for a UK shopper buying via a German address: that free-return process is designed for a German/EU sender, with a prepaid label that works cleanly from inside Germany - not from a UK courier.
Once an item has been forwarded to the UK, you can't simply drop it into a UK courier under Adidas' German label. The item has to go back to the German returns address, so you either return via your EU forwarding address/agent or pay international return postage - and any UK import VAT or duty paid on the way in is not refunded by Adidas (UK import VAT can sometimes be reclaimed from HMRC on a proven re-export, but that is a separate process Adidas does not handle). In practice that makes returns from the UK slower and costlier than a normal UK return, so the smart play is to nail the size and colourway before you forward.
